Confidence will come with study, don't be timid but remember these words from Paul wants the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives, to empower you.


  1. Your confidence come through your faith look at 1Tim 1:12
  2. You may lack knowledge of the word, but through your study you gain confidence. 1 Corinthians 1:27 (28-29)
  3. Your confidence builder is learning and knowing that God is with you. Philippians 4:13.

            This verse should be one of your prayers when you are talking to people.

Note: We are charged with the task of witnessing to all people by making disciples, Matthew 28:20.

The love for people's souls is very important. If we want to be a good disciple and witness.


  1. Christians are to bring Salvation to Jews and Gentiles. Romans 1:16
  2. Realizing and recognizing that people need salvation. Luke 19:10

  3. Understanding Law and Gospel in Romans 5:8, 6:23


Summary:

Understanding the Gospel is only Good News about God's Love and Forgiveness. The Law always offends and condemns, so be careful how to present the Law.


The Use of the Holy Spirit in Witnessing

Chapter 5


Text Acts 1:8

Note: Do not witness for God in your own natural power or ability. This is a very important principle that relates to Church Growth.


  1. Again the Power comes from the Spirit of God not by Human efforts. Zechariah 4:6
  2. The Holy Spirit gives life in conversion. John 6:63
  3. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in your witnessing. Galatians 5:17-18
